Regular Share Savings
The basis of membership at MACU is the Share Savings Account. This is a simple and easy way for individuals to save and track their money or even receive direct deposits from their employer. An initial deposit of $5 is required to open the account, however there are no monthly service fees and no other minimum balances are required to be met.
Minimum Requirements
In order to qualify for membership, a person must live, work, worship, or attend school in Hancock County, Seneca County, Hardin County, Allen County, Putnam County, or Wood County in Ohio.
Acceptable means of primary identification for Unspecified Accounts
We prefer, but are not limited to accepting only the following:
- Valid Driver’s License issued by some Governmental Authority
- Passport
- Military ID
- Government Issued Picture ID of any kind
Acceptable means of secondary identification for Unspecified Accounts
We prefer, but are not limited to accepting only the following:
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Utility Bill (in the name of an account owner)
- Credit Bureau Report (can be pulled to verify address)

Account Specifications
- Members between the ages of 18 – 59
- Members are required to deposit and maintain a $5.00 balance at all times
- Dividends are earned once the average daily balance is $500 and are paid out quarterly
- Primary member has voting rights and the ability to access all services of the Credit Union
- 1 Free ATM card ($10.00 replacement/duplicate fee)
- Has the ability to be hooked to a MACU checking account as an overdraft option
- Eligible to run for the Board of Directors
- No monthly maintenance fees
- Unlimited withdrawals/ deposits to account
- Free Online Banking, Mobile Banking, & Telephone Banking
- Free electronic funds transfers from merchants
- Free e-Statement option
- Monthly e-Newsletters
- Shared Branching Services
- ACH Originations
- Direct Deposit
