Product Description
Perfect for the independent high schooler looking for a little more responsibility. This checking account allows the member to receive a debit card, with signed consent of the parent, which they can use for ATM withdrawals as well as POS transactions.
Minimum Requirements
In order to qualify for a Teen Checking account, members are required to have a teen savings account with the $5.00 balance at all times as their share of ownership in Millstream Area Credit Union. If membership account has not been opened, that must be completed first. If membership has already been established, account change card must be completed and signed by member. Joint member must qualify through Chex Systems.

Account Specifications
- Must be age 13 through 17
- Adult must be on the account as joint owner to sign for responsibility of funds
- No minimum balance required
- Unlimited check writing
- Teen receives first 50 checks free
- 1 free Debit card can be assigned in teen’s name with adult joint owner’s signed consent ($10.00 replacement/duplicate fee)
- Overdraft protection is available through share savings only
- Courtesy Pay is not available for teen accounts
- Free account balancing assistance twice per year
- Free replenishment of check registers and vinyl checkbook covers
- No monthly maintenance fees
- Unlimited withdrawals/ deposits to account
